Reality Therapy Research Centre

The Chinese-language Reality Therapy Research Center, under the direction and academic guidance of Professor Chang Chuan-lin—a psychologist from Taiwan—is dedicated to advancing the research, training, and practical application of Reality Therapy within Chinese-speaking communities

Grounded in Reality Therapy and Choice Theory, the Center integrates international professional development frameworks with the cultural contexts of Chinese-speaking communities. Through professional training, psychological counseling, personal growth programs, theoretical research, and international exchanges, it assists professionals across various fields and the general public in mastering more effective helping approaches.

Our primary work includes:

Professional training in Reality Therapy

Psychological Counseling and Consultation Services

Thematic Workshops and Life Enrichment Programs

Theoretical research and development of Chinese-language resources

Practice-Based Application and Professional Peer Exchange

Reality Therapy teaches that our behavior is closely shaped by our inner needs, choices, and relationships. The more we understand our needs, honestly review our choices, and take effective action, the better we can improve relationships, take responsibility, and live a more satisfying life.

The Center serves a broad spectrum of individuals and groups, including psychological counselors, guidance counselors, educators, social service professionals, pastoral care workers and other helping practitioners, as well as members of the general public who wish to foster personal growth and enhance their interpersonal relationships.

Our vision is to build, through research, education, and practice, a professional Reality Therapy platform that is well-adapted for Chinese-speaking communities, while promoting communication and cooperation among Reality Therapy professionals throughout Asia.
